“Future Screening – A Framework for Advancing Strategic Corporate Foresight” working paper published by Marc K Peter & Denise Jarratt, 37 pages.

Researchers and practitioners recognise the importance of strategic thinking, envisioning and foresight for effective long term planning. However, there is little practical guidance on how these activities might be integrated to better prepare an organisation for the dynamics and uncertainties of the future. The findings expand current thinking in strategic planning and implementation and encourage practitioners and researchers to view the process as continual, thus stimulating strategic entrepreneurship and preparing the organisation for engaging successfully in future environments. Top management commitment, ongoing resource investment and active engagement in the foresight process across hierarchical layers of the organisation were critical to successful implementation.
