29 March 2017:

Students at the FHNW School of Business get to know the importance of long term planning and foresight as part of their Strategic Management curriculum (BSc BA in International Management).

Topics covered include the tasks of strategic management and important link to long-term planning, the identification of drivers and signals from the uncertain external environment and an introduction to the strategy discipline of foresight. Based on numerous examples and cases studies, students learn how to identify weak and strong signals and build scenarios to present multiple future options based on the foresight framework “Future Screening“.

Once scenarios have been presented and discussed in workshops, new strategic initiatives and programmes arise to continuously improve organisational capabilities and drive entrepreneurial innovation projects as part of a firm’s strategic leadership.
